The Learning Truss

Strengthening the foundations of student wellbeing.

At The Learning Truss, we believe students thrive when supported by three connected structures: the individual, the home, and the school.

Like a truss in architecture, strength comes from intentional support at each point.

About The Learning Truss

The Vision

The Learning Truss draws inspiration from the triangular structures used in architecture - where strength is created through connected support.

We believe student wellbeing is not built in isolation. It is strengthened when the individual, the home, and the school work together in intentional partnership

The Founder

The Impact

Through counselling, consultation, assessment and psych-education, we provide structured emotional and academic support that builds resilience, stability, and confidence in students and the communities that support them.

At The Learning Truss, wellbeing is foundational to learning.

Thozama Khanya Grewe

HPCSA Registered Counsellor & Educator

Founded by Thozama Khanya Grewe, a registered counsellor (HPCSA) and SACE-registered educator, The Learning Truss is rooted in hands-on experience within the education space since 2017. Work across primary and secondary settings- from government schools to independent schools - has included individual counselling, group interventions, psycho-educational assessments, workshops, participation in school-based support teams, and contribution to policy development.

These experiences have shaped a deep commitment to helping schools become safe, structured environments where students can thrive, parents feel empowered to support their children, and educators are equipped with practical, sustainable strategies.
